Headed West to Help
I was at the store this morning and noticed these trucks parked in the parking lot. Since this store is close to Interstate 10, I can only assume they are on their way west to help restore power to those affected by Hurricane Isaac. It was and still is mostly a rain event here, so we got lucky this time. By the way, I apologize for not being able to visit and comment more on my favorite blogs, but I've started my new job taking care of my six week old grandson since his mommy is going back to work. I'm also chauffeuring my older grandkids back and forth to school and taking care of them in the afternoons, so I've been pretty busy!

You've definitely been busy, Lois!! I am glad that your area missed the worst of the hurricane. It has sounded horrific! Take care!
So glad to hear Isaac wasn't too much of a problem for you Lois, must have been a bit scary waiting to see how it would be. Enjoy your grandchildren, they seem to grow up so quickly!
We saw a couple of hundred of them - at least! - going South as we were coming North out of Florida. I have them coming in a post soon.... It's amazingly wonderful how we all run to help when our countrymen are in need.
Lets hope they stay safe.
Glad to hear you didn't get hammered by Isaac!
You're going to be busy in your retirement! Yesterday we were driving north of Umatilla and saw a bunch of these bucket trucks meeting in a big lot...I didn't think about that but you may well be right - they're heading west!
