Young Actors

The Young Actors Theatre and School for the Performing Arts is well known in Tallahassee. Founded in 1975, it is one of the oldest independent youth theatre programs in the United States. It even has some notable alumni (Cheryl Hines and Tony Hale). Visit the YAT website here to find out more about them.

The building looks very nice. Such colours we don't see here, but I saw it in Italy.

This is wonderful. I think we have something similar here but am not sure. It must be doing a good job with such luminaries as graduates. I like the building, too.

Maybe I should take up acting. People have been telling me to do that for a long time. Well, what they've said is "Will you please act your age?"

Hope your week has started off well and I appreciate very much your comments!

Very Floridian! Sounds like a great program too.

It must be fun for community members to go to this school and theater to see performances and to guess about which young actors are likely to go on to stardom.

My 27 year old had a ballet recital there many years ago.

Such a great idea Lois, every city and town should have a place like this for young would be performers, I'm happy to say we do here in Perth also.

I do agree with the others, such a great idea and so wonderful for young people -- a place to explore and develop their talents! Hope you have a lovely week, Lois!

Ha! I'm with Lowell on this one. I've heard that refrain all too often.

It's good to give kids a creative outlet, even if it doesn't lead to a professional career. :)

Looks like it used to be a church.
