Oh, so sorry to hear. What a loss, you cannot compare it with a child, but it feels the same for me. They are your companion for many years and then you have to say goodby, heartbreaking. Wish you all the best, Lois
Hugs, Marianne

Lovely, and loved, cat. Julie's two cats passed away, after more than 20 years each, about 7 or 8 years ago and we still miss them.

I am so sorry to learn this sad news. Now, you can make Gracie very happy by trotting down to your local animal shelter and getting a new kitty from the lot they have there. Happy days all around.

I think I need to wait awhile before getting a new kitty. I adopted Gracie from the animal shelter and did the same with another cat before her, so that is probably what I will do again. I just need some time.

Oh, Lois, I'm so sorry hear this! I always enjoyed hearing little tidbits about Gracie on either your blog or when you commented on mine. This is such a lovely picture of her. What a sweet face! I wish I didn't know about this sadness first hand, but I do, and I know it takes time and of course you'll always miss her.

Take good care,
Vicki

There is nothing to say that can take away the pain. I'm so sorry for you. We lost our Golden last June and there isn't a day goes by that I don't feel the emptiness. She looks like a sweetheart, too!

Oh Lois, how sad. I've gained a little Grace and you have lost your little Gracie. Just wanted to thank you for your comments about your grandchildren - so very encouraging to know you know this place and also know that it can turn out well. I appreciate your sharing that. I send love and a hug from me.

Ooooooooooooooh! I'm so sorry Lois. :((( I know how much kitties can mean. We don't have any pets now, but I have had some loyal kitties in my day. My thoughts go out to you.

Oh Lois, I just saw this and I'm so sorry. What a sweet little face. You must miss her terribly. My best friend lost her 19 year old kitty to kidney failure on Wednesday night, and I too have lost beloved kitties in recent years. Sending you hugs and comfort from Colorado. I hope your happy memories of Gracie will help ease the hurt.

I really can't imagine the lose. For us our two dogs are like our family. I know ours are getting older and I never had any pets of my own before our marriage and I never experienced the lose of it. I know they go faster than us. Its hard.

Oh, dear. ((hugs)) I'm so sorry Lois. We lost our Crickette' and our Bootz. I still miss them, even with Toes the Poly Dactyl cat carousing around our place.

I will be praying for you, sweet Friend.
