Old City Cemetery is surrounded by an iron fence. I like the way the Spanish moss drapes itself over the fence. Parts of the cemetery are higher than others and in the second shot you can see how the graves are at eye level as you walk down the sidewalk on the south side of the cemetery.

I like the gate with the moss, so special Florida.
I wouldn't mind having an iron fence around my garden.
Old cemetery, iron fence, Spanish moss. You have all the ingredients for a really spooky scene at night.
Cemeteries. Great fodder for shots.
I like old cemeteries to wander through. The iron fence is cool. MB
I should have waited with my joke until you posted these photos!
Lois, I thought you'd like to know that this morning Sissy was rushed into emergency. Clytie is in the hospital with a heart blockage. They'll do an angiogram tomorrow to find out where the blockage is, then they'll put a stint in. Please pray for her complete recovery. She is such a beloved Friend and Sister. The world would be a sad place without her.
I have enjoyed visiting Old City Cemetery with you, Lois.
I really like this cemeteries series... and the moss on the fence.
Great shots Lois, very well composed, I like a lot the iron detail in these pictures.

This place is just fantastic.
It looks quite lovely in the afternoon...but I bet it's beyond spooky at night!
Dear Lois...I've stopped by several times and find you've stopped posting for awhile. I hope this means you've taken a break to have some fun and is not a negative thing.
Want you to know you are missed and we certainly hope that all is well with you and your family!
Jacob,
I'm fine and thanks so much for asking. I've just been extremely busy lately and am taking a little break. I hope to be back soon. Thanks again,
Lois
beautiful photos lois and i stopped by to ask the same thing as jacob! enjoy your break!
I'm so glad to hear that! Taking a break is very smart on occasion. I've shut down several of my blogs because if I didn't I was gonna end up taking a permanent break, if you know what I mean!
Have fun! As I said in a little poem to Leia, the reason we have noses is to stop and smell the roses!
A peaceful place with a nice iron fence to look through.
Be well and happy Lois,
Pam
