It seems there is always some kind of protest going on in front of the Florida Capitol building. If you click on the picture and enlarge it, you will see the person staging this protest sitting quietly in the shade with his two dogs just beyond the signs. This is the best angle I could get on the signs without getting run over by all the traffic at this busy intersection.

I saw protesters when I was in Austin a few months ago, but they protest strange things down there. I remember seeing one for buying locally owned spas and pools. I guess there was some bill to give tax breaks to out of state spa makers.
Always something to protest I guess.
I do love a nice peaceful protest -- whether I agree with the issue or not.
i saw a protest in chattanooga tn one year. it was an anti-abortion protest and i was there with my kids and other moms of twins. all our kids were very small, toddlers to school age and just walking downtown had to endure very graphic photos and try to shuffle out kids away without them seeing the pictures...it was very disturbing.
War is hard thing for many people. :(
But this seems like a nice way to protest. I like the colorful signs anyway.
We have protesters in West Hartford Center just about every Saturday morning from 10 to noon if the weather is nice. I often wonder if they are also angry on rainy days, but . . .
We've been having protests against nuclear power here. I feel the protest holds more meaning when they are peaceful :-)
Good for them. We need more peaceful protests. Nothing else seems to work, so maybe they'll make an impact! Glad you didn't get run over, too!
