Smoke from nearby wildfires blew in this past week and covered Tallahassee in a stinky haze. I took this picture around 8:30am this past Thursday from the top floor of the parking garage where I work. We got some rain in the evening and by Friday the smoke was gone.

That's not so good, nonetheless I wish you a nice weekend, Karl
It seems to almost look like a haze from the heat down there. We have some friends that are down in Disney and their telling us that it's hot as heck there.
This smoky haze is everywhere these past few days. We've had 2 wild fires burning very near us.
Hazey photo of the haze! Hope you rushed inside after the photo, Lois!
It looks hot and uncomfortable.
It has been awful here, too! Not good for folks with respiratory problems...or anyone else, for that matter. Nice shot, though...eerie!
Re the Jacksonville shot...I can't even remember the name of the restaurant...it was a well-known steak place. I suppose that whole area has been totally changed. I remember it being very attractive at the time. We've got some other photos of the general area in an album somewhere...if I run across them, I'll let you know.
Have a fun weekend!
wow I love this picture! The sun is so different for the fog, but it's beautiful!

Nasty stuff.
I am not nuts about wildfire smoke and would have to stay indoors on oxygen. But sometimes there is a great benefit of the landscape when the fires burn an area off. Maybe this will happen there where you live.
My son lives in Boca Raton (Spelling?) and in an upstairs condo and his views are landscaped canals and golf courses. A perfect balcony to step out on and in his case, smoke a cigarette and drink a coffee with his girl friend.
Yep. He has a girl friend now.
To look on the bright side, it is good that one night of rain could clear the air. The ring around the sun looks cool, but I know it is nasty stuff to breathe.
