Watery Wednesday

This seagull wasn't too sure he wanted me to take his picture, but then he wasn't too sure I didn't have some bread for him either so he went ahead and posed. Seagulls can be pushy (not to mention loud) when you show up at the lake with food, so I don't usually feed them. To see more wonderful watery shots, be sure to visit Watery Wednesday.

I never feed these guys. It teaches them bad habits. OK, OK, they already have those bad habits.

He does have quite the expression...sort of like, "If you're disturbing me, you'd better make it worth my while!"

At a beach in California, seagulls swooped down and stole my sister's whole lunch! Pushy indeed!

Cute capture of this guy looking over his shoulder at the water's edge.

Those seagulls are checky little characters! I've had them swipe my lunch when I wasn't paying too close attention. He was definitely checking you out!

He is watching you, don't come to close to me. Nice picture.

A wonderful shot, Lois, with terrific lighting! These are funky creatures and I agree that if you value your peace don't feed 'em.

I laughed when you told me about your son-in-law...that's so true. I swear it's really dangerous - the old folks drive their golf carts just as badly or worse than they drive their cars! When we stayed there in 2004, we tried to bike ride but were scared out of our wits with golf cars coming at us from all directions!

Hello, Mr. Gull. How are you today?

WATERY SATISFACTION

Puddles of water and drops of dew—
What does it take to satisfy you?
A rushing river, a roiling sea—
That’s what it takes to satisfy me!

It's sooo frustrating to see people feeding birds. It's not good for them or us. That being said, he was a handsome poser for you, wasn't he?

Great shot! I guess he could be brave if he thought you had some food.
