SkyWatch Friday
Pecan tree with Spanish moss against the beautiful blue Tallahassee sky. The tree has not started leafing out yet, but I'm sure it won't be long now. To see more wonderful skies from around the world, visit SkyWatch Friday.
I'd be interested in seeing this tree in bloom. I don't think I've ever seen a pecan tree (or realized it). Looks like the spanish moss is havin its way with that poor tree.
I always find it strange that moss grows so prolifically on the tree. I would think that it might harm the growth of the tree--but, apparently not. Pretty blue sky. Mickie
The Spanish Moss! I finally found a place here where they sell it (or a very similar species), but I'm not sure it will survive the winter outside so I have to find the right place inside the house.

Wonderful blue sky. Ours was blue but there were clouds in it too :-)))
Love these tree/sky shots. Wish we had a pecan tree. I've probably asked you this before but I wonder if you think Spanish Moss kills the trees?
It looks like a hoary old tree to me; or an old lady with a shabby shawl.
That's quite interesting with the moss growing on it like that.
