The first day of the month is Theme Day for the City Daily Photo community. This month's theme is Public Transportation. I took this picture of one of the buses used to transport college students, faculty and staff around the Florida State University campus in Tallahassee.

It must be a very large campus to have buses! Looks like a smooth ride!
Happy theme day :-D
I would think that college kids are young and healthy enough to walk or ride bicycles around campus, particularly in warm weather locations such as Florida.
FSU has a very large campus and parking is extremely limited. Once you find a place to park, you definitely don't want to move your car for the rest of the day. These buses are very convenient for getting around especially if your next class is all the way across campus. They are also nice when the temperature in 100 degrees in the shade or during one of our frequent lightening storms in the summer!
And to think I had to walk from one end of campus to the other. Those were the days.
This kind of transport is really needed on big college campuses. I often took the campus bus when I was at Uni. Nice choice for the theme day!
Nice looking new bus. The buses we usually see around our part of the country or nothing new or even nice to look at. I have never been inside of them so I don't know how they look inside..
A nice livery for what seems a fine bus service.
I love the reflections on that shiny bus! It rains and sogs around here so much--most of our buses are sorely in need of a BATH!
It seems to be very comfortable.
Nice photo - we in Portland Oregon love public transportation and have various kinds - buses, trams, light rail, and also lots of bike riders!
Good idea! I'm sure there are more people around that campus than in our whole town.
Smart looking bus - it must be nicer than walking to class when it rains. Lois, many thanks for your vote for my photo too. :-)
Great Theme Day post. Mine is up on November 1 at Portland Oregon Daily Photo; it’s a photo that I took on the Portland, Oregon, MAX Light Rail last Saturday.
