I suppose the difference in our moon and your moon is temperature. It was 25º last night and early this morning it had got up to 38º F
Nice clear time to view the sliver.

A sweet sliver of a moon. The mornings here were so beautiful the last few days but this morning we are fogged in--can't see a thing. MB

Beautiful picture of a Horned moon. Moon pictures are alway interesting.
You know, one of the first things I noticed when I came to Asia is that the moon slivers go horizontally (up down), not vertically (side to side). It was something to get used to.
