Wow! That is kind of cool. No dangerous dogs or doggy doo. I've never seen a sign like that--that is actually thoughtful. In our state they often have dog areas in various parks, or a leash law. They have bags for the doo and a place to dispose of the stuff.
IMHO it's not the dogs that create the problem ... it's certain dog owners. I can see both sides of the issue, however, and perhaps it is better that they just cut to the bone and say "no". Sigh.

That's right I think, sometimes it is frightening for children to have running dogs around. I saw the dogs have their own places with a fountain.
But we see people walking dogs there all the time.....is it cold enough for your grandson's soccer game this morning? brrrr
There is probably a story behind the sign because I would think dogs and kids go well together.

Great pic, Lois!
Only dogs (and parking)? I saw the sign "It's not a place for get-together... (What they are afraid of?)
I think it's funny how they have to give a rationalization for the "no dog" rule. It's sort of a good reason, sort of not.

I can understand the purpose of the sign but do they have a 'no children' sign in the doggie area? Haha!

I thought that dogs played with children? Funny sign that doesn't make a lot of sense.
We're going to be in Colorado for another week or so, but our daughter is improving every day. Thanks for caring!
This would be impossible here...
