Practice Makes Perfect
This guy was enjoying the beautiful fall weather we have been having by practicing his instrument outside near the Florida State University College of Music.
What a great photo. I came across a guy practicing on his bass on Tulsa's river trail at 6am one day. I tried to take a picture but of course it was way too dark.
I'm wondering if he is playing next to the wall because of the acoustics.
I've not seen anything quite like this, either...once in awhile you might see a guitarist sitting under a tree, but not someone with this big an instrument! Furthermore, the sound tends to get lost in space.
All your recent FSU posts made me smile. I appreciate the quiet during breaks, but I love their energy and their interesting activities! This is a perfect example. I can never tell if the difference between a cello and an upright bass. Don't tell my husband — he'd think me barbaric! ;)

He must be very shy!
Neat, unusual capture! I wonder why he was facing the wall?

Love this shot Louis. That was always my favorite part of visiting Cait at college, seeing people playing their instruments everywhere! Kat
Must be great to hear outside.
Ditto B Squared!
I love to hear the instruments being played outside!
A quite strange image, and I mean it as in a unusual poetic way...

Cool shot, Lois!
Music outside on a sunny fall day... can ya beat it.
Oh that must be nice! :-D
He is serenading the wall ;-) My imagination wonders if someone was on the other side. Very interesting picture, makes you think.
