Located near the entrance of the Los Robles neighborhood in Tallahassee, the Woman's Club building is a local landmark that has been used for many types of events for over 80 years. I have been to several weddings here and my daughter's 8th grade prom was even held here! It's a beautiful building and the Woman's Club of Tallahassee is an organization that is over 100 years old. You can read more about them

That is a wonderfully elegant facade, Lois. Understatement always works a treat for me.
The most interesting thing in today's post, your daughter had an 8th grade prom?
Something about whitewashed buildings with red roofs looks really nice. Nice photo.
Yep. I, too, have been to an eighth-grade prom there. And my daughter's wedding reception was held there. And a memorial celebration for an old friend. Such a lovely old building.
Yet another place I have not been.
We had a 9th grade prom at my school. I think it was in the school gym. Would have much prefered someplace like this. Looks lovely!
nice place & I love the moss hanging in the trees
With this heat, I'm automatically drawn to those trees which must be providing wonderful shade.
I can imagine the place filled with southern belles! Love how the name is engraved in the building :D
Very beautiful building in a serene setting. MB
The Womans Club sounds an admirable organisation - and they have a very nice building. Looks like some old colonial place.
What a nice looking building. It reminds me of buildings in Orange County Ca.
Love the setting, you are sure it's woman only?
Such an attractive building. I think women's clubs must be a Florida "thing." I've noticed many of them while driving through different parts of the state. And, in many cases, like yours, they are old organizations. But I've never been able to figure out exactly what they are all about other than an opportunity for women of a community to get together socially.
A beautiful building with many happy moments I think.
Beautiful old style building. I like the elegant doorways.
Pretty building! Sounds like they must let men in sometimes. :)
