Monroe Street runs right through the heart of downtown Tallahassee. I took this picture of one of the street light banners as I was walking along the sidewalk. By the way, please forgive me for not visiting and commenting on your blogs this week. My grandson and I are enjoying a few days off together. I'll have some pictures of all of our adventures next week!

Have fun with the grandson, hope y'all do something fun.
I hope you and your grandson are having the time of your lives!
Hope you're having a great time! I like the little Tahallassee downtown logo :-)
My guess is that Florida must have been added to the U.S. during the Monroe Presidency. Isn't there a Monroe County in Florida? Perhaps the Florida Keys? And your post today reflects that a downtown street in the State Capitol is named after him as well. He must have been important to Florida.
How absolutely fun for you ... and your grandson! I just know you and he are having a grand time!
Have a great time with your grandson and don't worry about us. We will still be here!! LOL I have my two youngest Gboys because of school being out. Lotta yard work is gong to get do. I HOPE.
Crazy Canada Geese. Funny how they congegate in big cities and out here I only see a few at a time. Easy food in the parks I guess. MB
I like the downtown Tallahassee logo! Very colorful and modern.
Don't you worry about us. Like I always say: family is more important than our blogs. Enjoy your time with your grandson!
