Camera Critters

Posted by Picasa

I took this picture a few months ago before the leaves were on the trees, but I like how this bird looks against the blue sky. To see more cute critters from around the world, don't forget to visit Camera Critters.

What a sweet little bird, and I really like this shot. Isn't it amazing that not too long ago the trees still looked like this? Kathy

He almost looks like part of the tree trunk, same color.

It is easier to spot and photograph birds when the leaves are not on the trees. In our area of Costa Rica, we have a cry season from Nov. - April when the trees drop their leaves to conserve water. In addition to seeing more birds, it is easier to spot the monkeys and sloths during that season.

I think it is a yellow rumped warbler Eleonora.

You have an eye for spotting birds, Lois. The warblers around here are so quick their not easy to capture but you captured this little cutie perfectly.

I agree that it is much easier to see the birds when the trees are bare ... but most birds here show up after the leaves are out!
