Camera Critters
A little privacy please! This turtle was swimming away from me in the Wakulla River when I took this picture a couple of weeks ago. To see more fascinating critters from around the world, don't forget to visit Camera Critters.
We saw a few turtles the other day in one of the parks in Austin. They really are fascinating and fun to watch. I just wish the water had been as beautiful as this :) Kathy
It is good to post signs so people do not disturb the turtles during when they are laying their eggs or when the eggs hatch. We have signs on beaches in Costa Rica reminding people not to ride ATVs on the beach because the weight of the vehicles crushes the turtle eggs.
Thank you for your comments on Julie's and my sites. We were away in Italy for several weeks and not able to catch up with your site until today.
Wonderful that people are taking good care of those lovely turtles there, I need to say that I'm in love about turtles! Adorable picture! Happy Sunday and a week full of positivism sweet Lois! Hugs Léia

Don't really know what type of turtle that is, but I totally agree with the sign you included. Let's hope that people will leave them alone.

I love turtles
Great capture - they are normally hard to see and you did a great job capturing the turtle and the environment!

I wonder if it's a Snapping Turtle, it's on the large size!

We saw quite a few turtles yesterday on the St. Marks. I love them.
Does look like a snapping turtle. As a boy of 10 I found out they were aptly named.
Maybe he's looking to rent a room. Where's the closest turtle hotel?
He looks big. I like your action shot of him/her(?). I like the big warning too.
Leave us alone!!!!
Cool shot. MB
It's probably best that people stay away ... nobody around to say 'get a room'?
I hope people honor the request!
