Weeds

These tiny flowers were blooming next to the sidewalk in a vacant lot near my office. I'm not sure what they are, but I like the way they look!

The pink flowers look like oxalis and the five leaved vine is Virginia Creeper...

The flowers are pretty, but check out the HUGE clovers, assuming that's what they really are, I think I see a 4 leaf one, too!

Darla is right- oxalis and Virginia Creeper. I love the oxalis (and the flowers may be eaten in salads- my children call them "sour flowers") but if I don't pull them religiously, they would take over my entire yard!

In one of his newspaper columns, my husband immortalized something I told (okay, scolded) him many Christmases ago: weeds have flowers too.

Your photo reminded me of that. I prefer thinking of them as wildflowers. :)

And yes, I think they're very pretty too.

Oh yes, Hilda is right, some of the best bloomers are not worn by the ladies but by weeds.

Florida is blessed with a plethora of wildflowers, all of which are quite beautiful. It's especially nice when you find them in town!

Such pretty colours - I like the way the light falls on them too. Weeds or not, most plants have some kind of value.

I like weeds too, all flowers, weeds or planted flowers, they are very pretty.

Do you have Forget me nots?

I workers that day, were church volunteers who went to work in a local school. The first day, was cloudy and a big of rain. The second day was really good.
