SkyWatch Friday

Posted by Picasa

Bell towers at Mission San Luis in Tallahassee. The first one is next to the friary and the second one is next to the church. Look closely at the second one and you will see a tiny little jet contrail in the sky underneath the top pole in the back and between the two side poles on the right. You can actually see it better if you click on the picture and enlarge it. To see more beautiful skies from around the world, please visit SkyWatch Friday.

Nice blue skies, but I am intrigued by those little bells on what look like tall towers.
Very different from what I've seen before.

Very rustic but beautiful bell towers. I really like the weathered wooden poles.

Very classic scene.. bells tower always reminds us about a lot of memories of the past somehow, and how dynamic people back then living and make a special calls for gathering or warning. even we never lived in that past.. great time machine Lois..

great choice for skywatch Friday. It reminds me of a bell at church camp when I was a kid and went to camp and got to ring the bell

I like the top picture best. It's really good. The sky is beautiful and the lines and angles are very appealing.

That is an impressive bell tower, Lois. I wonder for whom the bell tolls?
