Camera Critters
This little spider seems to not know what to do about that leaf caught in his web. I took this picture in my front yard. To see more Camera Critters from around the world, please visit Camera Critters.
That's actually a very good photo - when I enlarged it, that little spider looks quite lethal with its back section looking like the petals of a flower. I've not seen a spider like this before and have been searching to find out what it is but haven't had any luck. Thanks for visiting my blog and your kind comments. Enjoy your weekend. Cheers. That looks like some kind of dead sunfish but suspect it might be an old leaf either on the water or on something with a green bottom. It makes a curious shot.
Obviously you have to enlarge this to appreciate the spider... I don't sympathize much with spiders in general, but this one was quite unlucky, stuck with this big leaf in his web!

It is a good thing that your black spider does not have a red hourglass marking on it, as that would make it a black widow.
An interesting moment in nature very nicely photographed! Have a delightful Sunday!

I like a sharp spider and a leaf out of focus :) It looks like an abstract painting.
Very colorful shot and the spider is clinging for his life ^_^
Average critter Koi
Poor little spidee--the leaf is bigger than he.
I like your St. Francis statue. MB

PoorO guy! I guess he'll have to weave around it.
Maybe he likes the thrill he gets when the wind sets the leaf a-quiver!
I enlarged the photo to have a better look at the spider and it's fantastic!
So delicate! Adorable critter and beautiful composition!

Oh my, love it!
That is a really cool photo. Great capture.
I thought the leaf was drifting in water, and the itsy-bitsy spider was crawling down his web to get a drink!
Yes, looks like floating in water.
Poisonous spider?
Spined Micrathena? I don't think they are poisonous, just outer-space looking. A nice photo with the mottled leaf.

That is a fantastic shot of the spider. Well done, Lois

I love it.... the leaf suspended in mid air like that
I like the way the yellow of leaf is repeated in the spider!
I don't like spiders, but that is a great photo!
