Walmart kitties

There are quite a few stray cats living on the other side of this fence next to the Walmart parking lot. The three cats in this picture didn't seem as afraid of me as the ones you can't see hiding in the bushes. Someone is feeding them though, as you can tell from the large pan of cat food there by the fence on the left side of the picture.

Weekend Reflections

What is this strange creature sitting on my car? He is the same little guy I featured a couple of weeks ago here. I took this picture through my windshield after driving several miles with him crouched there looking very determined to stay put. I finally felt sorry for him and pulled over so he could disembark safely into the bushes. To see more fascinating reflections from around the world, visit Weekend Reflections.

I have been noticing this bicycle parked on this corner for months and the other day I decided it deserved to be showcased on my blog. The headquarters for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection is located in this building named for Marjory Stoneman Douglas, who was an American journalist, writer, feminist, and environmentalist noted for her role in the protection of the Florida Everglades against efforts to drain it and reclaim land for development. You can read more about Marjory Stoneman Douglas here. This building is located several miles west of downtown Tallahassee and provides some wonderful reflections of the surrounding trees.
