Watery Wednesday

Posted by Picasa

I took these pictures at the Navy Pier in Chicago two weeks ago. It was a very cold and windy day and I did see a few snowflakes. You should really click on the second and third pictures to enlarge them and see the lighthouse out there in Lake Michigan. Also the sign on the pole next to the flag on the right says there is no swimming or diving just in case you were thinking about it! Please visit Watery Wednesday to see more beautiful watery pictures from around the world.

They are even more beautiful enlarge, the water looks so still.

Beautiful scenes but yes, it does look cold! Love the smooth, low waves in your second photo.

Also a familiar sight! Hope you are having fun in the windy city. I bet you will be glad to get back to warmer climes though!!

Great pictures, and I'll pass on the swimming and diving, at least until summer!

I guess you can't get any more watery than Lake Michigan. Happy New Year!

although it appears a little bleak, the blues still make it most attractive, Lois.

I wish you health and happiness for 2010.

Yes it looks very different to June, when it was packed and baking too. Nice to see it out of season though.
