Watery Wednesday
Swamp next to Old Bainbridge Road in Tallahassee. I took this picture on a cold and gray day. I'm sure there are probably some alligators in there somewhere because this is Florida after all, but I wasn't going in any closer to try and find one. There are some things I won't do for this blog! To see more beautiful watery pictures from around the world, please visit Watery Wednesday.
I should mention too that I'm sorry I haven't been commenting on your blogs this week, but I am running around Chicago in the freezing cold having fun with my daughter. I'm taking lots of great pictures too, so I will probably post some of them when I get back. I'm still looking at and enjoying your comments on my posts this week, so thanks!

It's a great view.
Sydney - City and Suburbs
Well done, a swamp is a hard place to photograph. I think I used to collect freshwater fish from there for my aquarium but it has been so long ago I am not sure.
See my wiggling experience with water..
Enjoy hanging out with your daughter :)
That photo does look like it's a cold day.
Chicago is probably just that little bit colder than Tallahassee, but I full well understand the attraction!!
I like that shot alot Lois, well done.
All the best :)

Chicago, Chicago! Great town. We lived there for several years! But it doth get cold at times! I'm sure you're having a great time, though.
The swamp is pure Florida. Gators? You betcha. They won't hurt you though, unless they're hungry. The trouble is you never know when they're hungry!
Enjoy your time with your daughter, looking forward for more photos.
My watery wednesday
Glad you're having a good time Lois, and don't worry. None of us would want you taking a chance on becoming gator bait. Take care!
Neat swamp photo, I think i would be scared of the gators too. I hope you are having fun in Chicago.
It looks really cold there, beautiful scenery and perfect shot!

I didn't think you had 'Gators' in 'Nole' country.
Keep warm up there in those wintry parts!!
Swamps can be lovely places, can't they!
Know this area well... Have fun in Chicago, stay warm!!
What a cool picture! I wouldn't want to get much closer either. :) Enjoy your family time ... it's so important at this time of year. :)
Yes please, stay away from the alligators! I hope you are having a lot of fun! I imagine there is some great Christmas shopping being done, too!
Chicago! You're so lucky, I love Chicago!
The good thing about being in a swamp on a cold and grey day is that thre shouldn't be too many mosquitoes around!
Wise move not to get closer. It looks scary.
You look awfully familiar. Are you from the Chicagoland area originally? I wonder if our paths have crossed somewhere?
I think that's very, very wise of you.
You're not the only one who's been remiss at visiting and commenting. Thought my schedule would get lighter after the big celebration — forgot to consider all the work I'd put on hold because of it! Finally okay now though. I think.
