These pigeons were trying to keep warm in the sunshine on a sidewalk in Chicago one morning last week. The temperature was 3 degrees F with a wind chill of MINUS 15 degrees F when we woke up, but had warmed up to 12 degrees F when I took this picture. Click on the picture to enlarge it and you will see how fluffed up their feathers are.
