These pigeons were trying to keep warm in the sunshine on a sidewalk in Chicago one morning last week. The temperature was 3 degrees F with a wind chill of MINUS 15 degrees F when we woke up, but had warmed up to 12 degrees F when I took this picture. Click on the picture to enlarge it and you will see how fluffed up their feathers are.
They are so cute and smart to get some sunbath! :)
Great shot Lois!
Brrrrrr. Sure makes me glad I don't live on the streets.
What a heatwave Lois!! I don't want any of those cold temps..
Hahaha cute little birds.. you must be cold there too, tropical Tally person that you are. Did I say Merry Christmas already?? :D
Ya just want to pick 'em up and cuddle 'em! What a sweet photo! Poor little things...
I can't imagine how cold 3 degrees is, Lois...Brrr! We all know what a kind hearted softy you are, I'm surprised you didn't put them in you pocket and bring back to Florida.
Merry Christmas Lois, I wish the best to you and your family!
