Drive Carefully!
I spotted this sign in front of a new house that is being built not far from me. Of course, I had to take a picture. I didn't see any of the babies though.
Rather odd sign to see. Wonder just where to little "coons" were. Just don't really see anywhere they could be hiding, except the tree. I also think that raccoons are sorta cute. I've seen them on occasion. With their bushy tail and bandit eye's they always get my attention.
now this is a one of a kind sign. maybe they accidentally killed the mother and are trying to protect the babies. I also loved your cigar label photos. the cigar box details make such great photos. I am glad you liked my cliff rose macro with the tiny fuzzy little hairs.
Very cute - nice to see that people care - and a must for a photo. We have racoons in PV too, but not any directly in our neighborhood. The couple times I've seen them has been while camping, at night while they are scavenging around the campground. I still remember in Jr. High going to camp and doing a night hike, and coming across a racoon. He took some food from my hand and I remember the leathery feel of his paw - it was amazing.

Oh, I loooove raccoons, especially babies! They are just so cute. If you see them you have to get a snap for the blog!
Cool posting on the ship wreck yesterday. Somebody must have been in pain 400 years ago when he heard the ship had sunk...
I recognise the symbols on the coins, you still see them in present day Spain.

Well at least someone is looking out for them. Maybe Mama got hit by a car. MB
I don't think I want to find out why they were orphaned…
That's a weird one. Why orphaned?
Really? The builders posted a sign?? And here locally we had a lady attacked by a family of raccoons and they hunted them down.
They aren't as sweet and cuddly as the sign-makers would presume.
Great capture Lois!

Well now that can't be good! I hope nobody runs over any of those poor babies!
Thanks for visiting me,
LiL MaN!
Do you think this is for real? Down in Orlando they have had a real problem with racoons...
Funny comment on Ocala DP today! Thanks, Lois!

I have only seen racoon in photographs. They seem mythical to me but I gather from some of the comments that they can be a pest in settled areas.
I suspect whoever erected this sign knows exactly what happened to the mother!!
With all the mess made by the construction, baby racoons will most probably have to move...
Awww! Someone really made an effort with having a sign made.
Do you really think it was the builders that put this up? I wouldn't think that they would bother to make this sign, but I could be wrong.
