Clean Hands
These hand sanitizing stations are placed around the FSU campus in an attempt to minimize the spread of flu germs or any other germs for that matter! I'm not sure how many students actually use them though.
I know if they were placed in the administrative departments of my campus, they would not get much use either. It has to become a habit over a period of time. Not easy.
Over here in UK, we have not yet got to this stage. Last week I went to the dentist and all the magazines had gone, with a notice saying they might spread the flu bug.
I would hope that people have come to understand by now that there are such things as germs that cause disease...but then too many people in this country don't believe in science...
And I still watch morons who, after using the bathroom, walk out the door without washing their hands.
Nevertheless, something like this can raise awareness perhaps.
I've heard that the sanitizer companies have tripled their business since H1N1 has started & they're telling people to use it lightly because they can't keep up w/ supply & demand! I've given notes to the employees where I work telling them to WASH THEIR HANDS!
We have the same in my office, and Esperanza, the receptionist, makes sure we use it! We had 3 cases of swine flu so far, with 200 people in the office. Scary.
That is a great idea. I noticed a while back that publix supermarkets put hand wipes by the doors. We wipe the handle of the carts before we go in and take another on the way out to wipe our hands. Better safe than sorry :)
I think it's a cool idea they could do the same inside the schools here in Luxembourg. I need to confess that I carry one bottle of this kind of disinfectant alcohol inside my purse!Maybe I'm getting really crazy, my daughter use to say it to me! LOL Okay ...like Bergson said, do not panic! Léia

Let's hope a lot of them use it!
You can lead a horse to water but ...

Clean, germ blasting photo! Wash your hands indeed!
We have those around work as well. I think people have become too germ-obsessed.

Well, we can always hope.

I'm addicted to that stuff.
WAH YOU HANDS!!! Something we all should have learned at our Mother's knee, so I hope this is used at times anyway. MB
I think most people are aware of the good this does. The ones that aren't are probably making my hamburgers down the block. :-(

They have these up here in all the stores and we have some stuff that pumps out of a bottle and then evaporates. All in an effort to not get the flu.

In schools these things empty faster than the janitors can fill them...the kids just love pumping them!
do not panic
What a wonderful idea. Over here, we bring our own hand sanitizer, those who are obsessed with clean hands that is. Like me.

At a school I'd want to bathe in it and drink it, HAHA!
Clear and important message! I do hope they use it!
