Watery Wednesday

Posted by Picasa

This unusual fountain is located in Dorothy B. Oven Park in Tallahassee. I like how the water cascades down the blue sides and into the rocks it is sitting on. You really should click on the picture and enlarge it to get the full effect!

What a clever way to display water. I like the idea of the gravel base. It should work on a fountain too. The gravel would make an ideal screen and keep the junk out. It looks like something from Japan.

This is a very unique fountain. It's nice to have something colorful in the park.

I enlarged the picture to admire it, and found I really appreciate the way the blue colors are mirrored in the bench's tile inlays! Beautiful fountain.

It is unusual, but that is what makes it unique...

It seems like there is quite a few great photo ops at oven park...

Nice photo Lois. There is a lot to be said for having a good fountain in a public space.

I love the sound of water (except for a dripping faucet), fountains, water falls, streams, rapi ds, waves.. this one sounds like tinkling water. Very delicate.

You've another hurricane coming. Will you be ok?

Very different; in fact, I've never seen anything quite like it.

I wonder if the spray ever goes higher...

Very nice. Enlarged it really looks good, foamy water coming over the sides and down around the bottom.

To me it's like something from Morocco. Typical colour too - Marrakech Blue.
