A very discreet edge to the lake. Makes it look more civilized that a mere mud bank but it sure makes it harder for an alligator to take a snooze.

Really a nice photograph for the time of day it was taken.

This lake looks lovely and well-manicured. Very nice!

No drought conditions Julie. This particular area is part of a little man made peninsula that juts out into the lake and has a gazebo at the end. They built it up pretty high because this lake tends to flood when we have an event like we had last summer when a tropical storm dumped 12 inches of rain on us in one day!
