VW

I noticed this beautiful old VW parked next to me last week at church and I just had to take its picture. It had an antique license plate on it from 1968.

The Beetle! Just recently my daughter's friend was driving a new version of that. It was long ago I had a fun ride with one owned by our school Director, Fr. Malachi Toner.

That is a cute reminder of my younger days Lois. Lovely captured.

Give the Bug a hug and not a shrug or you'll look smug! Cute! 1968!!

Awww! Isn't it cute! We used to have a light blue one and we named him "Lurch" for obvious reasons if you ever rode in him! LOL!

So cool and hard to find nowadays! In Mexico they are everywhere! :-)

The metalwork certainly sparkles - most of the beetles I've known have been real rust-buckets!

I love this one! I have a blue beetle too... although it's the new variety!

I always wanted a Bug when I was in high school! One of my friends had a bubble gum pink one.

I drove a VW Bug for years and years. My first Bug was named Pepi Le Piu Flea Longstocking, Jr.

(grin) Which means stinky little furry feet, the younger. I named my little car after my best friend at the time--my puppy. (grin)

I LOVE this pic!

These have made quite a comeback, as has the VW bus. There are several in our area that are nicely restored. You'd have fun in one of these Lois.

Remember that childhood "game" slug-a-bug? The first kid to see a "Bug" would scream it out ... and punch a sibling. Yeouch.

Very cool. My wife always says she wants one but never buys it.

Oh, how neat. I had one of those - in 1964! But that was in Illinois and Minnesota and with two kids and no heater, it didn't work so well...so we traded it in...

Beautiful shot of a beautiful car!

This picture brings to mind some great memories I have of the original Beetle.

I had fun looking at all the reflections in the bug! That's a great shot of an adorable car. 1968 antique....yikes! :)

I remember when I was in high school one of the teachers had a 'Bug' like this. Some senior boys picked up one side of it and slid it onto the sidewalk. The things kids will do!

So well maintained. Great angle on the shot with the reflection on the door too.
