Theatrics

The building I work in on the FSU campus is also the home of the School of Theatre. This is a picture of a costume mask on display in a glass case in the lobby. It was used in one of the many productions put on by theatre students during the year.

I wonder is it made of paper? It really is nice. And it reminds me of the Indian masks I have seen. I made a couple but never thin enough to wear. Mine were carved out of pieces of fireplace wood. LOL Thanks for the visit.

Wow, I used to be a member of the theater group in secondary school and it was such a fun time and enhancing experience. Makes me recall of those times when I saw this mask. :) Great post. Have a nice weekend Lois.

Lois, it's not part of your "crime fighting costume"?? All kidding aside, this really is nice. A lot of work went into making that mask. Are there more?

How funny! At first I thought maybe it was a mascot.

Part man, part parrot? Funny snap, Lois! I suppose you get to lots of theatre productions then?

How wonderful! Does that mean you get to watch a lot of performances too? It's one of the perks that I like about working in a university. The kids let employees watch for free :)
