I went outside during my lunch break at work the other day to take a SkyWatch picture and it was so hot I didn't venture too far. These palm trees are right outside my office. You can tell by looking at them that they haven't been there very long. They were planted about two years ago when our new parking garage was built. I'm a little worried about the one on the right. To see more beautiful skies from around the world, please visit SkyWatch Friday.

There does seem to be a large proportion of wilted, brown fronds on the one on the right.
The leaning tower of Tallahasseea?
Its a beautiful Tallahassee summer sky, Lois. I see what you mean about the big palm. The fronds do look a little withered, its probably due to lack of water. We need more rain```
Have a wonderful weekend, Lois
Lovely PALM trees, Lois! No Palm trees in MY yard. Do all Palm trees lean to the left in Tallahassee?
Oh, Lois! I really like the angle of this! I hope that tree doesn't die! I saw one that didn't make it and the top just flopped over. It looked like a man who had fallen asleep in church and let his chin drop to his chest. Funny, but sad.
Great angle on the photo.
beautifull \\\
Very pretty sky.
We've had a lot of trees fall down in our neighborhood lately. It's filled with old pines and when they get diseased the storms can bring them down. Luckily none have fallen on our house. But two people have holes in their roofs now. :(
We have palm trees in my parents place in Marrakech. They really make you feel like life is slow... Like the angle Lois.
I'm a little worried about both of them...I think they're going to fall over!
It is hot, isn't it? I think it's warmer than last summer and more humid! Just blistering.
Hope you have a great day!
Now that's something I don't see everyday, for sure!! Great photos!
I like the aim of this shot Lois! Nice venture in a different angle and you're just spot on with that Palm Tree!
Those trees are only 2 yrs old? They're very tall for being so young!
The one may not make it long, but the other looks to be doing great!
The sky is amost washed out by the heat. Almost pale turquiose. very pretty.
Yea the one tree looks a little sad. MB
I haven't seen a palm tree since I moved from California a long time ago. I do miss them. I love the angle you captured on this "skywatch"! I hope these beautiful trees make it.
Being waaaaay up here in Washington and knowing very little about palms, I'm going to take your word for it that it looks sick. I'm assuming the dry fronds, but what the heck do I know??? :-O
There are so many species of palm trees, even with the fan looking leaves, but I don't think we have these here. Great composition.
I love the angle tilt.
