Oven Park

Posted by Picasa

Dorothy B. Oven Park is a beautiful little park maintained by the city of Tallahassee and is a lovely place to go for a walk or picnic and can also be used for weddings, meetings, or other events. We had my daughter's wedding reception here a few years ago. This is a picture of a quiet little sitting area of the park located across from the main house which I will show you tomorrow.

This is a great park! Brings back memories for you doesn't it? Are you keeping an eye on the tropics. We didn't get much of Claudette here in our area....

Beautiful sitting area!

I've just heard about Claudette in the news. Be safe, Lois!

It looks nice. Very green, in any case!

This looks very nice although on a very hot day the name would just ad to the heat. :-)

Very pretty little place! It must be pretty water-logged right now. Stay safe!

What a wonderful spot to just sit and relax. I'd wait until it stops raining though. Stay dry Lois.

This reminds me a lot of our Sholom Park in Ocala. Very nice!

It sounds like a lovely park, Lois. So I went to the link you left, they have a nice site.

Nice bench in the park too. A fitting name for an outdoor park in Florida. I can only imagine what it must be like with the heat we are experiencing up here in the Northeast.

It looks far more cool and refreshing than the name implies. Looking forward to seeing more of this place!
