More Art
I couldn't resist taking a picture of this sign outside my building. Obviously the art students want to make sure you don't miss the rest of their art!
And St. Peter asked her: "How did you end up here inside the Pearly Gates."
"Well," she said, "it's a long story. But I was dating a guy named Art. And he was so wonderful."
"What does that have to do with anything?" asked St. Peter.
"I'm coming to that," she said.
"Well, hurry up," said St. Peter. "We've only got eternity, you know!"
"OK. Well, one day I was walking about in Tallahassee...that's in Florida..."
"I know where Tallahassee is! Sheesh!"
"Well, I saw this sign that said 'More Art across the street'. So, I got real excited, like, wow! 'Cause I thought, like, Art is so great, wouldn't it be wonderful to have more Art?"
"You're a strange person," said St. Peter.
"Lot's of people have told me that," she said. "But, anyway, I just lost control of myself and turned and ran into the street and got hit by a big garbage truck and here I am!" She had a huge smile on her face.
"Lucky us," said St. Peter as he went off to find a beer.
If the sign painter hadn't added "across the street" you'd mistake the sign as the art piece.
And I'm surprised Jacob didn't say it was a little green truck that had suddenly broken loose from its chains and was madly charging down the street wrecking havoc......
Wow, fine art across the street and Jacob on stage providing the humor. I love this sign. The real art is across the street, but when it comes to letting you know about it they stuck with basic.
Dear Lois, I loved your idea for this post and so provocative thoughts about to keep open mind and heart for creative talents ...and artists of course! Have a nice Sunday Léia
I like the sign, but Jacob's comments are hilarious. And it would only work with YOUR sign for more Art. Too, too funny. Thanks for the photo to start the ball rolling. (I bet the person who painted the sign NEVER thought it would appear worldwide via your blog.)

I'm glad they told us or we might have missed out on some more great art! That's artsy!
Who is this guy Art? And why is he across the street?
I understand why you couldn't resist this one! How cool! :-)
You can never have too much publicity for any event.

That's funny Jacob! I needed a good laugh this morning.
I'm glad if I brightened your day!
Oh Lois, leave it to Jacob to make us laugh about someone getting hit by a garbage truck. All for the sake of Art. Teehee!! MB
Art is the greatest! Who is More?
Oh, that is funny! (guffaw)
