Bowling
My 5 year old grandson learned to bowl last Friday night. Here he is watching the pins after his bowling bowl hit them. He's leaning on a contraption that they use at this bowling alley to help kids who have trouble holding the bowling ball by themselves. You put the ball on top of it and then give the ball a push. Also the gutters on each side of the lane are blocked, so no gutter balls! After bowling this way a few times, my grandson decided he would try throwing the ball himself and he actually did a pretty good job. We had a lot of fun!

Fun! Gee, we should take our daughters bowling....
I could use those aids. It would sure help my average.
You and your grandson sure do a lot of fun things together, Lois. What delightful memories you both will have.
Great idea to closed off the gutter so the children always get a chance to knock some pins down and build their self esteem.
This is one of those photos that leaves you smiling...
I've never seen one of those contraptions, but it's probably a good idea....otherwise a newbie might get the idea there was no way to get a ball all the way down the alley.
Cute kid, cute shot!
Have a great day!
What an intersting contraption. I'd never heard of such a deice. I'm glad to lewarn he wanted to go without it and di well. (Can't you just see some 60 year old using it with his league.)
Good idea!! I'm terrible at bowling.
I've bowled since I was in the sixth grade. I have enjoyed bowling in a number of leagues as well. It's a great pastime especially on those rainy days. You know come to think of it I believe they give you the same ramp and bumpers when you get old too. :(
Funny idea! I need one of those. :)
Seems like quite a contraption for bowling...i guess they think of everything nowadays...
Not been bowling myself for years but it is still quite a popular pastime over here.
Bowling is a lot of fun. I was on a league long ago!!
Looks like he's lining up his next shot! Cute picture.
Bless his heart. When I first saw this picture I just assumed he was using something like a walker. I had never seen anything like this before but I can understand how it would make handling the ball a lot easier. I like the way his feet are drawn up.
Very cute! I love bowling but I'm terrible at it, maybe I should use one of those things. :-)
What a precious shot! It looks like he is totally concentrating on the shot.
What a funny shot. Congratulations, Lois!
Great idea, catch them young. Never seen any gadget like this over here in UK.
Cute photo Lois.
He looks so very cute! :-)
Bet the lovely kid had fun in his life. Yes, it's good to train them early and obviously, he is showing a great deal of interest. Good job Grandma.
