August Theme Day - Night

Posted by Picasa

I took this picture of one of the solar pathway lights in my front yard last night. This is what the light looks like when you are standing directly above it looking down at the pattern the light makes as it shines on the grass surrounding it.

That is an interesting photo. I thought, from the portal, that it was some catch of an eclipse. It's a really cool angle!

Fantastic shot! When I first looked at it, I mistook it for one of those Hubble Telescope images of far distant galaxies. Very beautiful.

That is a neat picture. I never saw a green solar walkway light before. It must be nice.

I slept under a blanket last night. This has been the coldest July ever recorded here in Ohio where we live. And it was only 59 F here this morning. August is starting out to be more of the same. I fear a climate change is on the way and each year will disrupt the lives of more birds and butterflies to say nothing about the polar bears.

Your photo was fooling with my brain. Here I thought I was looking up, and it's actually your grass. Cool shot Lois. Very original.

Incredible shot. At first I thought it was some sort of fireworks. I will have to try that sometime.

I guessed it's an eye of a peacock and never expected that. Very creative shot and beautiful image too!

Lois, this reminds me of one of those images that changes depending on where you concentrate! It is very well captured, so simple and so very close to home. The green of the grass and the spokes of the lamp are so effective. Very good eyes for spotting that this would work.
