The Museum of Fine Arts at Florida State University is currently featuring work by graduate students from the Florida Consortium of Art Schools. This piece is by FSU student Antonia Webb entitled "Satin Longoria". FloCAS is a collaboration between dedicated graduate students and educators at major Florida universities who work to create professional exhibitions, lectures, and symposia throughout the year. You can read more about FloCAS here.

Wow! You have a lot of perks where you work! Getting to be so near that gorgeous park and getting to see beautiful art everyday. Man, you don't have to go out of your way to find wonderful subjects for your photography! - I really like the halo glow that you captured around the painting. Antonia is very talented, too. The dress is convincingly satiny.

Interesting post, I like seeing what student artists are producing. Not sure I am a fan of a lot of the modern art this sometimes produces. I doubt I will ever understand or appreciate the whole installation thing.

I think I would like working in your building. Now if they have the golf department in there too, it would be heaven!

If this is an example of the work done by FloCAS, I'd say there are some fine artists involved!

And your photo is just excellent...the lighting perfectly exhibits the painting for the viewer!

Halcyon, no golf department in my building, but FSU actually does have a PGA accredited Professional Golf Management Program which is part of the College of Business and boasts 100% job placement after graduation. I'll have to get out to the FSU Seminole Golf Course and get some pictures for you!
