That's pretty good! I've never seen a parking sign around here that say's that. It's different. Around here, you see people parking in all kinds of different way's. Some of them even park and take up 2 spaces!
That notice must have something to do with seeing the license plate. Some states, and we used to be one of them, only have the county on the rear license plate. It makes it easy for the cops to drive through a parking lot and see who belongs and who is from out of town. And other stuff.

Florida only requires a tag on the back of your car, so it does make it easier to patrol. Also it can get a little disruptive when the parking garage is crowded and you have to wait for someone to stop and back into a spot. Those are the only reasons I could think of anyway!
Well, Lois, you know Florida drivers...someone trying to back into a spot could put thirteen dents in the fenders of cars nearby before he/she got it done!
It was only through reading the comments that I could find any reason at all for this! How bossy can they get!
Here in Australia we have registration plates on both front and rear. Often times I see a request for rear parking only which I have alwasy wondered about too, because if you are a pathetic parker it is the same skill required: you have to back in or back out!
Learnt that you guys call them "tags" ... goodo ...

Hard to see the tag numbers backed in.
Strange - I wonder why!

Better to park your bike in the right direction, never seen such a sign post though..
Wow. So, if you park a little crooked do you just get a warning?
I've always questioned the reasoning for this. We have tags on the front and back of our cars here, but I still occasionally see similar signs.
And, God forbid you should ride a bike or skateboard!

Oh come on Lois, BE A REBEL! Back in with a bike on the roof and a skateboard hangin' out the side window. ;-)

I wouldn't like that because I always back in because it's easier to park and quicker and safer to get out.
I'm glad I don't have a car any longer when I see things like this.
I've never seen such a sign! Great find! :-)
Parking the wrong way will be punished by a punch in the nose.
Great sign.
