We have several thrifts here that accept cars, boats, motorcycles, even airplanes (at least that's what they advertise!). Beats having them rust away in a field somewhere! When I was a teenager I had an old junker with a bumper sticker that said "This is NOT an abandoned car". When we abandoned it, I scratched out the NOT. Tee hee.

That's good to know! We donate a lot to this fine organization, but I didn't know they took vehicles.
I donated one to the Boys Ranch. They work on them and then learn how to drive.
Ha! can you donate yours to me Lois? LOL. just kidding...
I think it's a wonderful alternative for people that don't really know what to do with their old heap.
What a great idea.. Now I wish I had a spare car to donate. I guess I can wait until I get too old to drive. LOL
But then I'd have go to Goodwill to buy it back!
Is Goodwill some kind of charity store (thrift)? I guess it must be, but the website is down.
We have quite a few of these place over here but I cannot ever recall seeing any of them wanting cars.
Great idea!!
Hi Lois--I'm back!!!! Is that scary or what!! MB
We never have had a car that we could donate though we have kept them ten or more years in some instances but they are our only car. LOL
