Watery Wednesday
I took this picture from a foot bridge I was walking over in the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina last week. The water was on its way to Lake Lure. Please visit Watery Wednesday for more beautiful watery pictures!
Ah this is a cool shot, would love to soak my feet on it for a while and just feel the soothing effect it will give me. Thanks, but am just ok after the trip. :)
Passing thru N.C. last week, I was amazed by how hot it was. Then again, it was (is) hot everywhere. Over 100 in Ft. L the other day;hottest day ever. I see Tally is even hotter.
I think this is what "they" call a bucolic shot...calm and peaceful...
I've driven through the Blue Ridge Mountains, but never stopped...
Big mistake, I think. I'll look forward to more of your "wedding" photos!
Re: bicycles. Gainesville, too, has a lot of bikes and bike lanes...must have something to do with the fact that Tallahassee and Gainesville are college towns.
I think it's wonderful...and I wish Ocala would do more to promote bike riding.
Lovely photo of this mountain stream in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is probably almost pure enough to drink. There was a time when you could drink from any stream or pond of water, but thanks to farmers, their livestock and chemicals, it is no longer safe to drink.

Kind regards

Although it's shallow, I bet the water is cold. I remember how cold the brooks were in the Smokies and Blue Ridge.
Nice watery post.

I think I would've kicked off my shoes and waded through that!
Nice little stream shot! Looks like really clear clean water!
Now that is my kind of brook...nothing too big...you can almost jump right over it! I hope it doesn't overflow during heavy rains.

My first thought was "peaceful". Then I wanted to kick off my shoes and go wading!
Oh, can't believe something like this IS somewhere! Grass just beside little stream.
Wonderful photo, Lois. It must have been a terrific trip to the blue ridge with views like this.
What a pretty stream!! Love the green, too.
Ooh! Your grass is nice and green! Looks beautiful.
Very cool and welcoming.
