Mimosa

Posted by Picasa

The mimosa trees are in bloom all over town. The first one is in my neighbor's yard. The second one was growing behind the Target store and I took that picture right after it had rained. I love those pink mimosa blooms (even the soggy ones)!

Ours have been blooming like crazy too. They have a lovely scent. Can be quite invasive though.

This is another tree I don't believe we have here. A lot of them in the bars but none in the ground.

Something I feel sure I have never seen here in the UK or in Europe either. Heard of these trees before though.

Beautiful pink flowers. I can almost smell them from here!

These are such beautiful trees when in bloom and I suspect they are also nice when they are not blooming.

They are pretty, if somewhat messy!

Nice shots!

Beautiful trees. There aren't many out this way, but in neighboring Seattle, in the older neighborhoods there are several huge trees. Pretty in pink---of course. MB

Great looking trees I've seen them before but didn't know the name.

I never knew a mimosa was a flower, I always thought it was only Champagne and OJ. I'm not kidding, but then again. I only know two flowers, Roses and all the others. :)

so that's what mimosa looks like! Now if you could just post some of the scent too I'd be happy!

This is the 2nd time I see mimosa trees with pink flowers in the USA. As far as I know we only have yellow ones...
