Standing in a Sea of Roses

Posted by Picasa

These roses is located right behind the ones I showed you yesterday at Winthrop Park. If you enlarge the picture, you'll see that there's a baseball game going on behind them.

I just like the feel of the picture. I like the pine trees all around and that makes it seem like a remote area somewhere. It just doesn't look like Florida but then it does. I like roses but don't like the aphids they get.

Beautiful place to plat the game. Our parks have little or no color.

Beautiful! Now that's the kind of "sea" I could swim in happily!

It makes the park so pretty to sit in doesn't it?

Beautiful roses. It does have the look and feel of a sea of roses.

I have to ask if Winthrop Park is named for the first Governor of the Mass. Bay Colony. The only reason I ask is because I'm posting a picture tomorrow of a building in Winthrop Square in Boston, which I just found out is named after said John Winthrop. Your park is probably named after a different Winthrop, but maybe of the same family?
