Standing in a Sea of Roses
These roses is located right behind the ones I showed you yesterday at Winthrop Park. If you enlarge the picture, you'll see that there's a baseball game going on behind them.

I just like the feel of the picture. I like the pine trees all around and that makes it seem like a remote area somewhere. It just doesn't look like Florida but then it does. I like roses but don't like the aphids they get.
wow amazing shot! I need to think how I could manage to put Luna inside this wonderful picture! A kind of new collage! :-) It would be fabulous! Many thanks for so beautiful picture! You brought joy for my day! Léia
Beautiful roses. It does have the look and feel of a sea of roses.
I have to ask if Winthrop Park is named for the first Governor of the Mass. Bay Colony. The only reason I ask is because I'm posting a picture tomorrow of a building in Winthrop Square in Boston, which I just found out is named after said John Winthrop. Your park is probably named after a different Winthrop, but maybe of the same family?

Beautiful place to plat the game. Our parks have little or no color.
Fantabulous pic, Lois. Roses just can't be beat...and I like the way you composed this!
Oh, my favourite flowers! Really amazing.
Beautiful! Now that's the kind of "sea" I could swim in happily!
It makes the park so pretty to sit in doesn't it?
Hi Lois,
Our roses do not open up yet. Thanks for sharing these nice flowers.

Your making me jealous with all the flowers...you know that! They are so beautiful though!
So lovely! The trees really add to the beautiful foreground of roses.
And a delightful sea it is! Thanks for making me stop to smell the roses :~)
What a colorful sea! Just perfect.
That is such a great view of the roses! Awesome snap!
I don't think I've so many roses grown in the one spot. Beautiful.
