Photos from Florida's Capital City (and occasionally a few from other interesting places I have been fortunate enough to visit in my travels!)

Excellent composition and colors, Lois...Is that turret used for anything in particular?
I love the sharp borders of things in this photo ~Maria
I don't think so Jacob, but I couldn't find any information on it. There's another one on the other side of the building too.
It reminds me of a fortress. I love the way you framed it with the sharpness of the trees and the stark blue of the sky.
Another gorgeous, tropical blue sky! Beautiful turret/dome, too.
Hi Lois,Great blue sky...happy sky watch to you.
I don't remember that building at all. I'll have to remember to check it out on my next visit.
Gorgeous blue sky!
The building and the tree look great against that beautiful blue sky..Very cool capture :-)
brilliant blue in the background and impressive univ in the foreground!
Great sky, I love the palm trees! For me they are symbols of holiday!
Lois, your photo is wonderful. The combination of the sky and building are terrific.
Golly that is fascinating especially if for no particular reason. It does not seem to be architecturally at one with the rest of the structure.I am gathering that you work at the university. I work at a university too - on general staff.
It looks like the turret has a copper roof. Abraham Lincoln's Blog
Fantastic composition! A great choice for this theme, Lois!
Great photo!! Love the turret. It's popular to have a turret built on the new homes in Mt. Village. I wonder if they even use that space.
This is a nice shot Louis. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. How's that grandson doing?-Nancy
My grandson is fine--he graduated from pre-kindergarten today! Thanks for asking!
