This fountain is located on Landis Green on the Florida State University campus not far from the sundial I posted a picture of yesterday. There are 6 life-size bronze figures of students in the fountain sculpted by artist Edward Jonas, a 1971 FSU graduate, who is the same artist who did the sculpture of Francis Eppes I posted a picture of
here. The beautiful old building in the background is Landis Hall, one of the older dormitories on campus, which was built in 1938.

I like this fountain.
Awfully nice view from those dorms. Nothing like what I had while in college.
I wonder if these sculptures entice students to jump in the fountain! Lovely old dormitory too.
Students around here have never really needed any enticement to jump in the fountains! I did it when I was a student back in the 70's, in fact it was a tradition to throw someone in the fountain on special occasions like getting engaged or graduation or sometimes just for the fun of it!
Perfect sculptures to put in a fountain. And the building is beautiful too!
That's beautiful, Lois! Sometimes I think our universities are the last refuge for great buildings and sculptures like these...
Edward Jonas was very talented!
Your picture is superb!
What a beautiful fountain. Your photography is wonderful. I LOVE fountains and rejoiced when they put one in our town a year ago.
Very cute! It looks so warm there. Our temp is in the 40's today with drizzly rain. Snow was actually in the forecast, but none so far since it's a little too warm for it.
What a great sculpture...looking at this would cheer anyone up!
I had exactly the same thought as "Rambling Round"
This is such a now-a-days ordinary-people sculpture, Lois. Instead of a dowdy explorer or a geometric shape that it is hard to figure out. I like this sculpture as it is so fitting for its location.,
Fabulous fontain!
Many thanks for sharing so beautiful picture!

What a fun fountain! Makes me want to jump in and join the sculptures!
