Helicopters

Two helicopters in the sky over the Florida Capitol downtown. The lower one is a police helicopter that was circling the area while students from Margory Stoneman Douglas High School were holding a protest rally on the front steps of the Capitol. The other one is a news helicopter that was hovering overhead covering the event. I showed another closeup photo of the news helicopter a few weeks ago here.

Linking to SkyWatch Friday.

Update on my broken leg: I went for a cat scan this week and am still waiting for my doctor to review it and determine if I need surgery. Hopefully that will not be the case. I'm getting a little used to not being able to do all of the things I want to do and am able to get around my house pretty well with a wheelchair. My daughter and two oldest grandkids are coming tomorrow from Orlando to visit and I'm excited about that!

I have been praying that you will not need surgery, and I just said another prayer now. I am known as The Prayer Lady at church because I run our prayer and information line. Let us know as soon as you find out!

Sending positive thoughts your way for a speedy recover (and no surgery)!! Kind of sad, but in this day and age, circling helicopters are not a good thing, and they are all too common.

Have a good visit! I've had a broken ankle twice, each time given crutches that were insane since I have terrible balance. At least I transitioned to a walking brace. I really hope for your sake you can avoid surgery and heal well and soon.

I hope you do well. Have a good weekend.

I love this photo...there's something exciting about helicopters flying about in the sky, although they do produce a lot of noise. But what makes this special are the clouds and the deep blue sky. Best wishes on your quick recovery. Knowing you a bit from your blog, I'm sure it's accurate to say you're not one who likes to just sit around. And it's especial nice that your daughter and a couple of grandkids are coming to visit! Try not to wear them out! :)

We saw the protests on TV here, good they did. Hope it will open the eyes of the authorities.

I heard one school paddled students for walking out. If I was one of the parents, I'd call the police and have whoever did so arrested for assault.

Would be wonderful if those fantastic young people could get something done about the shocking gun rules over there Lois! Hope the results of the scan are good, fingers and toes crossed for a positive outcome ☺

Oh Lois! I get behind on my blog reading and find out you went and broke your leg while I was gone. Oh my gosh, I hope the healing process goes well. Good to have your company coming.

I am so in awe of what young people are doing after that terrible event. They may save us all... more power to them.
