Blue skies

This week we had quite a bit of rain and some pretty intense thunderstorms. We had so much rain at one time that a flash flood watch was issued yesterday afternoon. Earlier in the week, I was sitting in a restaurant and watched a scary bolt of lightning hit a power pole across the street! Thursday started out cloudy and gloomy, but then the clouds cleared and the sun came out so my littlest grandson and I headed to the playground. This is how clear and blue the sky looked. That is part of the playground equipment in the picture.

Linking to SkyWatch Friday.

Hello, love the pretty blue sky. Lightning can be frightening when it is that close. Happy Friday, enjoy your day and weekend!

Heavy thunderstorms can be quite scary! Good to see the blue sky again.

This is the kind of artsy photograph I like. And your comment on Ocala was right on. It doesn't matter how hot it is outside I need a jacket to go into the stores!

I'm moving to a new blog, "Lowell's Photos," after 8 years with CDP. It will focus more on creative photography than a place. Come visit at http://www.lowellsphotos.com.

Blue skies indeed. The perfect background for almost any image.

Hi Lois, glad you stopped in...I know....I'm with you---how those people survived w/out air conditioning down here in the South in the brutally hot summers, I will never know! It must've been awful. Your blue sky is pretty and its hard to believe a big storm was even there previously!

It was raining SO hard when we left FM (and had been for the previous 3 days) and then it rained really really hard the first two and a half days that we were traveling. IN fact, we drove around the edge of your fair city by accident because we missed the turn we meant to take -- honestly you couldn't even see the white lines part of the time. But all was well, we recovered, got where we meant to be ... and we have definite plans to come back to Tally on purpose next season. Keep good care of it for us !
