Good heavens how interesting Lois! I have not seen anything like it. I wondered if lichen were harmful to the tree but apparently not according to Google 😊
Never seen. I searched on Wikipedia for it and now I know the name for it in my own language: korstmos :-) Here we haven't this in you color. We have: Xanthoria parietina and Rhizocarpon geographicum. Thank you for sharing your "korstmos" with me.

May you not stand in the same place so long that lichen begins to grow on our leg. :-)
An unusual look.
the first thing I thought of was the movie The Blob, old old movie... did you get any rain? since last night I mean? we have nary a drop
I've never seen one like that before. We don't see lichens here in the desert but where I grew up in Illinois we would see them all the time.
I've not seen that color before. It would be great for Valentine's Day!

A wonderful find. I never knew lichen could grow on a tree.
It is photogenic.
...I'm likin' your lichen!
Beautiful.
