Boardwalk

Here is a picture of the boardwalk I was standing on the end of when I took the three previous pictures I posted this week. This boardwalk is only a couple of months old and there are also new picnic tables, outdoor grills and restroom facilities nearby. On the other side is the floating dock used for fishing and a ramp for launching boats into Lake Jackson.

Linking to Fences Around the World.

I like Lake Jackson and it would seem "they" are making it more viable for the community. Nice composition, Lois!

That is a really nice boardwalk that I bet will get a lot of use. That is also a huge tree stump over there to the left of your photo. There was once a very big tree there.

you had me at restroom facilities, a must if I go to a park or anywhere out doors.. old age you know. I love the way the tree appears to be growing out of the old stump... looks like a great place to visit

Must have once been a magnificent tree there in the foreground, judging from the stump.

Isn't a boardwalk fun? They make me feel as if I'm standing on the water!
Lovely photo and I hope the big tree is still standing for years to come.

I like a boardwalk that takes you where you otherwise would not be able to go. I imagine you would get some lovely photos from out over the water.

Boardwalks are such a good idea to get full use of lakeside areas. Looks like a mighty big tree had to come down there Lois!
