Train tracks

I took this picture not far from my house. I don't know why, but I really enjoy hearing the trains blowing their horns whenever they approach this crossing, especially at night. My grandkids always try to be the first to yell "train!" whenever they hear it.

Linking to Our World Tuesday.

Nice. The sound of a train in the distance brings me back to my childhood.

every morning between 4 and 4:30 am, the Tropicana Train rolls through our town, I love the mournful wails as it approaches each of many crossings. it is a sound from my past and I still love it. I like the curve of the tracks that you captured for us

Daisy swears she hears trains all the time but I can't. There are some tracks about 8 miles away

There were tracks a couple of kilometres away from where I grew up, and occasionally we'd hear the freight trains.

I love the shot. I take this shot every chance I get. I love train whistles, too, especially in the night. We seem to have a lot in common.

Never knew you had trains there. How many years since I was in that place at the Magnet Labs

I love trains too. I used to go to Boston with my grandmother on a train all the time. Whenever I see one, I always think of her. Great memories. Nice image, Lois!

Trains--When I lived in the Senior place in NY for 12 years we had a track literally in the back yard--but it only ran during the day--to the salt companies at the end of the lake--
and then 18 months ago I moved to the east coast of Fl in a Senior apt and we have a train track across the street behind the building and trains run all day and allll night--you do get used to hearing the whistles--and I do love trains--so it is ok!!
love the photo you took--
enjoy the moments, di
