Profile picture



This Sandhill Crane was definitely ready for a closeup. It was foraging for dinner in the grass and I was able to walk right up to it and take these pictures. I love those red eyes.

Beautiful bird indeed! I didn't know you could get that close without the bird taking off. Did you have a conversation with it as you were approaching it? I would be telling him to hang on for a few more seconds until I got the image :) Well done Lois!
