Good Fences

Two more pictures I took on one of my walks last weekend. The old gate is left over from when this area was a farm, another feature they left in place when they turned the property into a park. I like the tree in the second picture because of all the vines growing up and around it. When I was a kid, we used to try and find trees that were close together with these vines growing between them so we could use them as a swing.

Linking to Good Fences.

Hello Lois!:) Wow!! Two fabulous photos! I like both, especially the second with that big old tree, and the new looking fence in the same shot.

These are both very nice shots. It's nice they left that gate. I play a golf course where there's an old gate and cattle entry from years ago. It's hard for me to think of you swinging on tree vines ... shall I call you "Jane." Me Tarzan? Heh, heh!

I bet you had a good Tarzan yell back when you swung on those vines! How fun would that be! Love how they left features of the farm this park used to be... Great idea.

Love these photogenic 'leftovers' from the time the park was a farm.. I wonder how many people use this as a prop for a photo-opportunity :)

That's neat that they left the old gate (it's pretty cool looking). What a lovely area to walk in. I like the old tree with it's vines too.
