Listen to the Mockingbird

As I was walking back to my car after taking the photos I posted yesterday, I noticed this little fellow sitting on a sign next to the sidewalk behind the Capitol. Very appropriate since the Mockingbird is Florida's official state bird. He sat there posing for me while I took his picture. Maybe he thought I was a tourist!

Even though it's Thursday, I'm going to go ahead and link up with Wild Bird Wednesday.

Looks like he wants his photo taken. He can go back to the flock and say I'm famous.

I didn't realize the Northern Mockingbird is Florida's state bird. Very cool. I love to hear them sing!

Pretty bird. The one that visits us is a bully and chases all the other birds away.

I feel like an idiot not being able to recognize a mockingbird.
